The Process

A Visit From Our Field Advisor

A thorough air duct inspection with a camera is a multi step process designed to assess the cleanliness, integrity and safety of a home’s ductwork.

We will turn off the power to your HVAC system and identify the key access points in the duct system, such as the supply and return vents and may create additional openings if necessary for camera insertion.

A specialized, flexible inspection camera equipped with LED lighting and high-resolution video capability will be inserted into the ductwork.  The camera transmits live video to a monitor allowing us to see what’s inside.

The inspection focuses on identifying:

  • Accumulations of dust, debris and allergens
  • Mold or moisture intrusion
  • Signs of pest infestation
  • Physical damage (e.g., crack, disconnected joints, corrosion)
  • Blockages or airflow restrictions

Still images or video clips are recorded to document the condition of the ductwork and to support any recommendations for repairs or replacement.

We will share the information from the video with you and make you aware of any issues we find with your ducts. They must be solid and secure prior to any of the cleaning process can begin.  We will be noting the location of your HVAC equipment and how many ducts are attached to your system(s).

The Vacuum Process

Our technicians will locate the optimal places in your Air Ducts and Return Ducts to create openings to insert brushes, whips and air pressure attachments.

Have no fear – they will be sealed up and made good as new when we are finished.

Our technicians will work from the top-down pushing and whipping any Debris, Dust and Microbial Growth from the top of the duct run towards the Trunk Line carefully working around dampers, corners and large blockages.

Once we have pushed from the top, we will seal the system and vacuum using our three stage HEPA Filter vacuum and begin using negative air flow to pull everything to the vacuum using a variety of specialized tools.

The same process is followed on the return side of the system and everything is filtered through the 3-Stage HEPA Filtered Vacuum and returned as Fresh, Clean Air.

Air Duct Fogging

Using our professional fogging equipment, we can treat your ductwork with an optional microbial growth deterrent and complete the service with a fresh deodorizer—helping extend protection for up to a year and enhancing the freshness of your home for weeks.

A Zoned System

For larger homes with zoned systems, we clean each zone individually to deliver a more precise, thorough service – maximizing efficiency, improving air quality, and ensuring consistent performance across your entire home.

Dampers

If your HVAC system includes dampers, we will ensure they are properly repositioned to their original settings after the cleaning is finished.

Finishing the Process

Any access openings required during the cleaning process will be professionally sealed and patched by our technicians upon completion of service.

Testing the System

Once our cleaning process and any fogging you choose has been completed, we will turn your system back on and run a full cycle in heating and cooling modes to be sure everything works properly and your dampers are back in place.  This process will also activate our fresh deodorizer to begin filling your home!

Our Promise to You

While we are checking your system during it’s final run through, we will carefully pack up our equipment and remove any debris around your duct openings.  We will patch any openings that were made and place your grills back where they belong.

We hope you will enjoy seeing some pictures of your clean ducts and confirm everything is back in its place before final payment is received.
